Jackpotjoy explains the history of Bingo   no comments

Did you know that Bingo existed even before it was made a lot more special by Jackpotjoy!? Of course you did – but it’s a lot more fun today with the Queen of online Bingo sites –  the nation’s favourite Jackpotjoy Bingo.

Now you could be forgiven for thinking that Bingo was a British invention as we all seem to love it so much. But it wasn’t. Long before anyone had heard of Jackpotjoy and online Bingo was alive and kicking. In fact, it was first invented in Italy five centuries ago with Lo Giuoco del Lotto d’Italia which is still being held in the country!

The next to latch on to Bingo were the French with “Le Lotto” which was a game played by the country’s aristocracy (so perhaps not much has changed as we still have Jackpotjoy’s Queen of Bingo in the shape of Babs Windsor!).

Le Lotto had three lines across and nine down. Each horizontal line had five numbered squares and four blanks at random, while the vertical columns were 1 to 10 in the first row, 11 to 20 in the second row and on up to 90. They also had chips from 1 to 90 picked out at random, so this was very similar to 90-ball Bingo today which was the more traditional game in Britain – while 75-ball games came later in America.

And it was in the USA that the game really took off when a chap called Hugh J. Ward standardized the modern game in the early 1920s. He even wrote a rule book in 1933. Another American – a toy salesman called Edwin Lowe – did a lot to make Bingo even more popular, so much so that he became known as “Bingo” Lowe and by the time the Second World War arrived, there were bingo games all over the USA.

In Britain, meanwhile, the game really blossomed after the war, growing particularly quickly throughout the 1950s, 60s and 70s as Bingo halls sprang up all over the country and at all seaside resorts.

It then went into a gradual decline in the 80s and 90s, but the internet really brought it back to life again – and with the advent of sites like Jackpotjoy that really put the fun back into the game, it’s never been more popular. In fact, there are now over three million people playing online Bingo regularly in the UK and Jackpotjoy is the nation’s favourite online Bingo site!

The perils and benefits of jeux de casino en ligne gratuits   no comments

The topic on casino en ligne is a controversial one but mostly to parents with kids who love surfing on the net. There have been headlines on the news of how a kid shot and killed someone be it a friend, a family member or anyone who was causing harm to the.

In most of these murder cases perpetrated by children, the kids would have felt some emotional distress or danger imposed on them by the individual and just as they have previously done on those games they end up killing the enemy to save their lives. These are the same practices a child would borrow from a game and employ it in a real life situation that is why it is advised that children should not be allowed to play any games that deal with violence until they are old enough to know the difference between real life scenarios and fictional scenarios.

However do not get entirely confused to think that all online games can be harmful to a child. They are games that help the child develop mentally. Games such as tetris, mario, bejewelled among many others. A child will be able to develop rational thinking that is they will be in a position to analyse a situation and hence think of the best way to tackle it given different situations and alternatives.

A child also learns how to work hard if they want to be rewarded. All children like a pat on the back and get recognized for succeeding in performing a task. The online games give them such pleasure take an example of a popular game such as angry birds, the game was recently developed and has taken the world by storm both the young and old want to play it. The player earns points at each level and gets rewarded if they free the birds from their hostages, this enables the player to be rewarded by one, two or three stars depending on efforts.
